The ministerial regulation covers a three-phase induction motor with rated output power and rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V.

The ministerial regulation covers three-phase induction motors with rated output power and rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V.

The following three-phase induction motors are not included:

  1. submersible motors;
  2. motors that are integrated into a drive unit;
  3. multi-speed motors capable of running at two or more non-contiguous speeds of rotation by using switchgear to configure the new connection of the motor windings or motor windings to the supply; and
  4. motors specifically used for short-cycle duty applications rated (duty type S2).
