Products that meet the definition of Large Network Equipment, a device whose primary function is to pass Internet Protocol traffic among various network interfaces/ports, are eligible for ENERGY STAR certification under this specification. Products explicitly excluded from Version 1.1 are products that contain greater than four Physical Network Ports that have 100 Gb/s or higher link rate capability, as well as the following products:
i. Small Network Equipment;
ii. Computer Servers, including blade switches sold within a Blade Server configuration;
iii. Storage Products, including Blade Storage;
iv. Storage Networking Products;
v. Security Appliances;
vi. Access Point Controllers;
vii. DSLAM/CMTS equipment;
viii. Network Caching Devices; and
ix. Load Balancing Devices.
i. Small Network Equipment;
