Minimum Energy Performance Standard and Sign Labels Save Energy for Energy Using Equipment Lights – Emitting Diodes (LED)

This policy is applicable to self-ballasted LED lamps of types E40, E27, and E26 with a rated power of up to 60 W and a rated voltage of > 50 V AC up to 250 V AC. It stipulates a minimum luminous efficacy of 80 lumens per watt, in line with the 2023 ASEAN harmonization target. The regulations consist of five tiers or star levels, with efficiency increasing with the number of stars.
One star - 80-90 lm/W
Two star - >98-108 lm/W
Three star - >108-119 lm/W
Four star - >119 - 135 lm/W
Five star - > 135 lm/W

The policy also applies to self-ballasted LED tubes. It specifies a minimum luminous efficacy of 100 lumens per watt, and LED luminaires (street lighting, high bay, floodlight, etc) where the minimum luminous efficacy is set at 120 lumens per watt. The five tier star levels are not applicable for these products. See more
