This standard establishes the methodology for the classification of compact, circular and tubular fluorescent lamps according to their energy efficiency, the test method and the characteristics of the energy efficiency label. This standard applies to circular and tubular compact fluorescent lamps, integrated or not, with electromagnetic or electronic ballast, which have:

-Rated power between 5 W and 110 W inclusive;
-Nominal mains voltage for compact fluorescent lamps with ballast between 100 V and 250 V;
-Sockets for compact lamps with integrated ballast E26, E27 and E40.
