The Water Efficiency Labeling Programwas introducedin 2017 and became effective on March 1, 2018. This program is a mandatory and categorical labeling program. A product catalogue is expected to be created under this program, and products part of the catalogue are required to be registered and approved by China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS).
