The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Household Tumble Dryers) Regulations 2026

4.—(1) These Regulations apply to electric mains-operated and gas-fired household tumble dryers including—

(a)built-in household tumble dryers,

(b)multi-drum household tumble dryers, and

(c)electric mains-operated household tumble dryers that can also be powered by batteries.

(2) These Regulations do not apply to—

(a)household spin-extractors and household washer-dryers,

(b)tumble dryers within the scope of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008(1), and

(c)battery-operated household tumble-dryers that can be connected to the electric mains through an AC/DC converter purchased separately.
