Policy Details

This policy defines the energy labeling of and the provision of supplementary product information on solid fuel boilers with a rated heat output of 70 kW or less and packages of a solid fuel boiler with a rated heat output of 70 kW or less, supplementary heaters, temperature controls, and solar devices. It does not apply to boilers generating heat only for hot drinking or sanitary water; boilers for heating and distributing gaseous heat transfer media such as vapor or air; solid fuel cogeneration boilers with a maximum electrical capacity of 50 kW or more; non-woody biomass boilers.
