This policy specifies energy consumption standards, star ratings, and labeling requirements for deep freezers being manufactured, commercially purchased, or sold in India. It applies to glass- and hard-top top-access deep freezers with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V ac 50 Hz for single-phase and 415 V ac 50 Hz for three-phase ac, as specified under IS 7872 with all amendments.
