Policy Details

This standard applies to household washing machines, including built-in ones, operating from an electrical network with a nominal frequency of 50 Hz and from batteries. The standard specifies the energy efficiency classes of washing machines and the content of the label attached to each machine. The standard does not apply to washing machines without a spin process, with separate tanks for washing and spinning (for example, with two tanks), combined washer-dryers, as well as machines operating on other types of energy.
