This Official Mexican Standard (NOM) establishes the specifications and test methods of the Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (REEC) and standby mode, as well as the user safety specifications and the applicable test methods to verify said specifications. Likewise, it establishes the type of information that the Energy Efficiency label must bear, which in addition to the marking, the devices subject to this NOM must carry. Applies to new room type air conditioners, with or without heating, with air-cooled condenser and with cooling capacities of up to 10,600 Wt, domestic and foreign that are marketed in Mexico.
