Standard NOM-016-ENER-2016 applies to alternating current, three-phase, induction, squirrel cage type electric motors, with a rated output of 0.746 kW to 373 kW, with nominal electrical voltage up to 600 V, open or closed, single frequency (speed of rotation on the motor shaft or shaft) of rotation, horizontal mounting position or vertical, air-cooled and continuous regime, marketed in national territory.
